Britain's Best Caff 2008

09/11/2007

Roof Shop, a nationwide Roofing Merchant has launched its search for ‘Britain’s Best Caff’ for the second year running and is calling on all cafés, who feel they have the Sizzle Factor and be crowned Britain’s Best Caff 2008.

Once all entries are received customers are urged to nominate their local , the café with the most nominations at the end of the competition will be crowned ‘Britain’s Best Caff 2008’ during a prestigious awards dinner at The Belfry, West Midlands next March. Regional awards will be given to the runner ups plus new category awards: Best Bacon Buttie, Best Contribution to Local Area, Most number of nominations received.

Over recent years many traditional British ‘Caffs’ have experienced steady decline thanks to the European style coffee outlets popping up on our every street corner, the extremely successful awards launched last year by Roof Shop aimed to celebrate and put the spotlight back on the much loved ‘Caff’ which has become iconic within the construction industry and loved by the British builder and tradesman alike.

With over 1,000 entrants last year, cafes are urged to get their entries in! Last year’s winner to receive the accolade of ‘Britain’s Best Caff’ was awarded to Newcastle’s JJ’s Café, at a lavish awards ceremony at London Zoo in March this year.

With great expertise on hand at every branch, Roof Shop can provide trades people with everything from joists to tiles. More importantly every branch is able to offer ‘on demand’ product availability with over 40,000 lines, from pitched, flat and industrial roofing materials plus thousands of accessories. Visits to the Roof shop can easily be tied into the tradesmen’s daily working life (following a pit stop at their favourite Caff!!)

“RoofShop has now become recognised as a one-stop solution for all tradesmen” said Stuart Base, Marketing Manager , RoofShop “with readily available stock at every branch, the Roofshop has now become part of the tradesman’s daily life, in the same way that a visit to their local café is.”

Forget the ‘X’ Factor, this year it is all about the Sizzle Factor!
