Rock Asphalte waterproofs Wigan car parks

Rock Asphalte’s waterproof surfacing system was used to provide two new car parking levels and a connecting ramp at the Grand Arcade retail centre in Wigan. Rock laid almost 9,000m² of its exclusive 35 and 40mm Flexiphalte Standard Car Park Surfacing Type CDPM3. The system comprises a glass fibre tissue separator membrane laid loose on the concrete substrate, and finished with a wood float. Rock’s Flexiphalte Pommar polymer modified roofing grade mastic asphalt is laid in one coat. This is followed by Flexiphalte Pompav polymer modified paving grade mastic asphalt laid in one coat with a sanded and crimped finish.
