Rock Asphalte for parking protection

Rock Asphalte has delivered carbon neutral parking protection to a flagship new retail centre in Folkestone, Kent. To accommodate the influx of eager visitors, the centre includes a new 600-space car park. Working with clients Bride Hall Estates and HBG Construction, Rock Asphalte laid two separate parking areas, totalling nearly 20,000 square metres with its Flexiphalte Car Park Waterproofing System. The highly popular waterproofing masterclass comprises a high performance membrane laid loose on the substrate, followed by a single coat of Flexiphalte Pommar polymer modififed roofing grade mastic asphalt. Finally, it is topped with Flexiphalte Pompav polymer modified paving grade mastic asphalt, laid in one coat. The larger of the two parking areas, at over 10,000 square metres, was also insulated with Rock’s proven Flexiphalte Insulated Car Deck System. Successfully used on over 200 projects, spanning nearly three decades, it helps deliver excellent U value ratings to the occupied areas below.
