Repair of Decayed Structural Timber Beams – Rotafix System - TRAC Structural
We use the Rotafix Resiwood Systems, (manufactured by Rotafix Ltd), to achieve Low Disturbance Restoration of Structural Timbers. The method allows rotten or decayed timber to be cut out and reconstructed in-situ with reinforced resin or by the connection of new timber sections to the original timber that remains.
A wide variety of structural timbers can be repaired, including;
- Joists, Lintels, Tie-Beams, Rafters, Bressumers, Wall Plates, Posts, Wind Turbine Blades, Glulam Beams and Lock Gates.
The method has been used extensively on Historic Structures and Listed Buildings and is a recognized and cost effective timber restoration technique that minimizes disturbance to the existing structure.
