A peak performance from Halfen
Halfen has designed and supplied a fixing system for the natural stone cladding of the new Snowdon Summit Building. The building comprises a watertight aluminium skin clad in granite. In order to resists the extremes of the weather, Halfen supplied all fixings in stainless steel. The roof stone fixing system had to cater for random length stone coursing on a cambered roof with radius edges. This was achieved by the use of a primary aluminium grid, Halfen's SUK rails and specially fabricated Halfen paddle bolts.
