Multi-Link Lean-to Canopy
Our multi-purpose exterior glazed canopies provide year round, all-weather protection from the elements. They offer limitless opportunities as adaptable and useful outside shelters. Ideal for linking buildings and protecting pathways, they also make attractive focal points at entrances, whilst sheltering stairways and ramps for the disabled. Many schools have canopies installed next to a classroom in order to provide sheltered outside play areas where younger children can easily play with sand and water. They are also often used to create 'quiet areas' where pupils can get away from the bustle of the playground, and covered areas for waiting parents and/or queuing children.
Each canopy is made to individual specifications and combines our patented Multi-Link-Panel roof glazing, featuring virtually unbreakable multiwall polycarbonate with a strong, powder coated aluminium frame. These pitched roof glazing panels can be manufactured to conform to the HSE requirements for Non Fragile roofing, providing protection from possible falls through the roof glazing. The aluminium frame is rust resistant and designed for low maintenance. It will not rust and will never need repainting. An annual wash down with water will help keep your canopy looking good for years to come.
Twinfix can offer an installation service if required, or provide comprehensive installation instructions to builders and installers. Twinfix can provide white or black canopies as standard, or in any colour to match your existing colour scheme. Twinfix also offer a range of post protectors to help prevent injury if children bump into the aluminium posts that hold up the roof. These are foam filled, reinforced by a pvc covering with extra tensioning velcro fastening. They are available is a variety of popular colours to coordinate with your canopy or walkway.

Twinfix can offer an installation service if required, or provide comprehensive installation instructions to builders and installers.
Large Area Covers
When glazing onto large structures, it is often necessary to specify a system capable of being cold-curved and fixed to the frame on site. Usually the Twinfix 226/227 is the system specified. The aluminium 227 base bar is cold curved and fixed to each of the beams, the multiwall polycarbonate sheet is then put in place and it follows the shape of the 227 base bar as it is clamped firmly and securely in place with the 226 capping bar. The 226/227 bar is only one of many systems available from Twinfix for installing polycarbonate.
Glazed Walkways
Twinfix glazed walkways are ideal for covering pathways that link buildings, thus providing protection from the weather for pedestrians. Individual walkways are made to measure and combine multiwall polycarbonate roof glazing with a rust-resistant, powder coated aluminium frame. Pitched roofs are glazed with our patented Multi-Link-Panel system, which is fixed and linked together quickly and easily to provide a watertight roof.
The aluminium frame is designed for low maintenance, and should never need repainting, whilst the roof glazing will self-clean when it rains, so maintenance is minimal. An annual wash down will help the walkway maintain its good looks. The frame can be supplied in white or black as standard, but we can also supply to any RAL or BS specified colour to match your existing colour scheme. Each walkway is delivered to site already made to measure, so there is no need for on-site fabrication. It is usually possible to accommodate irregular or unusual building shapes and downpipes, etc.
