Rooflights and Cladding from Hambleside Danelaw

A rooflight area of 20% for industrial buildings is a cost effective proposition for improving levels of natural daylight and reducing the daytime need for artificial lighting.

Hambleside Danelaw’s  new generation Insulator rooflights also achieve significant energy savings - with U-values as low as 0.8W/m2K now possible - depending upon the level of insulation that is specified, they provide real benefits to the building occupier. This results in carbon emission reductions substantially in excess of the requirements in the Approved Documents L2A and L2B of the April 2006 Building Regulations. This also provides a considerable contribution to the compliance requirement that the building must demonstrate a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions, when compared to the same notional building constructed to the 2002 Regulations.

Insulator rooflights also provide an excellent non-fragility status and service life of between 25 to 45 years. The Insulator Rooflight has been recognised for its contribution to the environment through the granting of the Queen’s Award 2006 for Enterprise: Innovation.
