REHAU cable management in Liverpool Arena

The 180mm x 65mm REHAU PROFILA Data PVC cable management system has been installed in the landmark Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool, sited on the city’s waterfront next to the Albert Dock.

The REHAU system has been installed within the office areas at the new centre by M&E trade contractor Haden Young to manage the network data and power cabling requirements.  Haden Young is responsible for all electrical and mechanical services at the Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool under a sub-contract to main contractor Bovis Lend Lease.

With a depth of 65mm, PROFILA Data conforms with ease to the recommendations of the main data cabling manufacturers for the installation of Cat 6 and Cat 6a cabling, particularly in relation to minimum bend radii.

As well as its capacity, it has a number of features which make it fast and easy to fit and which give it a smooth, neat finish.  These include one piece variable angle corners which wrap around corners and pillars that are not true 90o angles, a pre-punched base and dowel pins to accommodate easy and accurate alignment and one piece clip-on accessories.

Adaptors are available to enable PROFILA data to be fitted alongside REHAU’s smaller COMPACT data system giving a complete cable management solution for any type of project.

The new Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool is a stylish and contemporary venue designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre.  It was built to coincide with Liverpool’s reign as the European City of Culture and opened with a concert to launch the event.  It accommodates the 10,600 seat Echo arena and 1350 seat BT Convention Centre with 3 auditoriums, 18 breakout rooms and a 3725m2 multi-purpose hall.
