With architectural glazing from Metal Technology, Fairgreen, a major new shopping complex in Carlow, is providing shoppers in south east Ireland their first opportunity to purchase major brands.

As the largest store in the thriving market town, extensive glazing systems by Metal Technology were used to offer an open, welcoming aspect and bring maximum daylight into the two, three storey buildings, set in a basic ‘U’ formation. System 17 high performance curtain wall constitutes the main facades with System 4-20 casement windows to the rear.

System 17 profiles are specifically designed to give limitless flexibility to architects. Designed on a stick system, a wide range of caps ensures that the external appearance suits the character and restrictions of the building. This system offers a thermal performance that can meet the most stringent European Standards and has been tested and met the weather performance criteria requirements of BS 6375 Pt 1 and BS 4873. This is supported by a full dynamic test as laid down by CWCT regulations.
