Glazing solution from Metal Technology used in Belfast office regeneration

As part of Belfast’s regeneration programme, a new £2.5m office development has been built in Gloucester Street using high performance glazing by Metal Technology with Omagh Aluminium as fabricators. Designed by Monaghan Tennyson Architects, the city centre building is ideally located to benefit from the growth in the city’s commercial business sector.

Incorporating anti-sun glass, eight storey City Exchange features a glazed corner in System 17 curtain walling, incorporating aero foil horizontal cover caps and louve infill panels and finished in a contrasting light grey against the dark grey of the main screen. Other glazing is made up of System 17 screens and over 500 System 4-20, Doc L compliant, casement windows.

Metal Technology’s systems are tested to be compliant to all the relevant British Standards, including building regulations Doc L/J and F. The company also provides excellent on-line, CD and technical literature, specifications, pro-active marketing and sales & service support.   This is complemented by full estimating and production software which also produces U value calculation to identify the thermal performance of its products. There are three RIBA-approved CPD seminars available for architects. These can be booked via www.metaltechnology.com
