Masterdors fitted with standard keeps, but pre-routed ready to receive electronic release door entry systems that meet both DDA and the Disability Equality Duty requirements have been specified as standard by the London Borough of Harrow. The council is taking the opportunity, as part of its Decent Homes programme, to 'future proof' the front doors in its housing stock comprising 6,000 houses and flats. Harrow Council said: "Procurement of a retro fitted solution incurs inherent delays for the user and installation is more costly and time consuming requiring more than one trade (frame preparation and electrical). We therefore teamed up with Manse Masterdor to prepare all our new Masterdors in the factory for the possible installation of the system regardless of when it might be required by a resident."
