Eurobond panels for Papworth

The design flexibility afforded by Eurobond's manufacturing capability has enabled Frank Shaw Architects to successfully deliver a ward extension for the Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The extension was required on a sloping site with limited access, and had to meet strict planning guidelines to reflect the surrounding architecture. The new ward had to line up exactly with the existing building, meaning a variety of composite panel sizes were required to ensure the correct alignment of floors and windows. Eurobond operates a bespoke line, alongside its continuous line, able to meet such demands for non-standard modules. Module sizes are available from 300-1,000mm in 5mm increments, enabling feature bands to be provided in relatively small quantities plus alignment of the panel joints with window heads and cills. For the Papworth Hospital extension, Europanel Lite panels were required in 40 different sized modules.
