Colourful clay from Hanson for new Edgware Hospital

The long anticipated new Edgware Hospital in London is now fully operational. Using a sensitive mixture of traditional and contemporary materials, the striking design of glass and brickwork uses bricks from Hanson Building Products, creating an unusual and visually different healthcare structure. Bellini, Albinoni, Monet Cream and Mallorca bricks from Hanson Building Products were specified for the face of the building. The façade is a colourful combination of pure clay bricks, three shades of cream and one in red, which complied with the architect's desire to create a non-clinical environment and to bring a human scale to the building
